AsiaL10n's translators are appointed to specific projects according to their academic qualifications, technical background and professional experience in the relevant field. Our translators, who are skilled users of Computer Aided Translation (CAT) software, sometimes called Translation Memory (TM) software, work into their mother tongue - the language that you require for your projects. Many of them are based in the target countries where they can stay in touch with developments, improvements and changes in their own language and technical field.

The most sophisticated IT tools available are employed in the translation of highly technical texts as quickly and as consistently as possible. TM tools are designed to save all translations in databases and make them immediately available to translators when they need them. These tools assist translators with previous translations on the subject and edit or adopt these saved sentences as needed. In theory, this eliminates the possibility of a word being translated 3 different times in the same document and guarantees the highest consistency from project to project.



By using WinAlign, AsiaL10n creates a TM to follow from any reference material that you may have existing in translation. For this we would require the original English source text as well as the resultant translation. This process then provides "leverage" that saves cost and time for all new tranlation work as well as allowing the subsequent translations to be more accurate and consistent with the previous work, even though different translators and editors do the actual work.

As an added service, your existing printed documentation can be converted into files of almost any type and format.

	Analysis	Your files are analysed to assess if it requires conversion into other file formats to be handled more easily by translators.
	File Preparation	Files that require some form of conversion are evaluated and the right tools are selected. Thus, preparing them suitably for the translators.
	Style Guide & Glossary	Depending on the size of the project, a team of translators may be required, and from editors to proofreaders, we will create a style guide and glossary unique to this client only.
	Translation	Translators and editors will be provided the brief on the project. They will also be informed of your expectations as well as the style guides and glossary.
	Editing	The first drafts of translated documents will be passed through the careful eyes of our editors who scrutinise for conformity with the laid out style guides and glossaries. The quality and consistency of translation is also inspected.
	Client Validation	We recommend that as the project progresses, the work-in-progress be sumitted to you for your scrutiny before final processing of the translated texts.
	Quality Control	You may want to highlight certain amendments to be made which will be implemented and checked. If you are not satisfied, we are not satisfied.
	Deliverables	We will deliver the final product in whatever format has been requested by you in full accordance with your instructions.
	Post-Mortem	We will check with you if you are satisfied with our work. At the same time we would also like to find out if you have any comments and suggestions to help us serve you better in the future.
